Christian Testimony - Renee

Christian Testimony ~ Renée ~ Solution Is In Him

Hello friends

Today I am excited to share with you another Christian Testimony. Every Christian Testimony has the potential to reach the hearts of many different people. I always say – “we are different, yet we are the same”. Not all of us experience the same struggles and curve balls that get thrown at us in life. Yet, we all experience personal struggles and our own curve balls.

When we are courageous and share how we have gotten through our own struggles it can have a huge impact on others. Giving your personal Christian testimony is a way to share God’s never ending love, grace and mercy. Through sharing your personal experience you give others an example of how God changes lives. It can also encourage others to continue to press forward in their lives as it gives them hope.

Introducing Renée

I have known Renée for many years now. We met when she started to work at the same place as myself. Throughout the years I have been blessed to see Renée grow in her relationship with God. Renée has a heart that is overflowing with love for others. She is an attentive and caring mother and a good friend to many. I am grateful that she chose to share her christian testimony with me and now with you too.

Renée‘s Christian Testimony

Since a young age of 7 years old I was in love with Jesus. I turned away from God in my teenage years. In addition I never really had strong bonds with friends as an adolescent. I thought I had, but those friendships weren’t solid. I yearned for the friend that would help hold me accountable in my life. Years later God gave me two strong women that would fulfill that role.

I’m more guarded today in relationships and I have boundaries now.  I do use them which has proven to be a great tool in life. I’ve not lived a journey of perfection as I know that’s never the ideology that one should hope to attain.

Overcoming A Challenge

Writing this testimony has been a challenge for me even though writing is a passion for me. The reason why it’s been challenging is because I know it’s going to be in the public eye and I’m more of a private person. Let go and let God they say, I am saying “ok!”

Let Go and Let God

God Encouraged Through A Friend

When I was going through one of the biggest trials of my life in 2008 & then in 2010 I was completely lost by these events. I had a friend that was blogging about her journey through cancer. She had so much faith in God. I trusted her account of her faith and came back to my own faith in God after so many years of being apart from Him. She had instilled in me a new renewed faith in God by showing me what acceptance looked like during hard times. Also in her courage and effort never to quit her love in Jesus.

No Pain ~ Shame ~ Guilt

I concluded that God did not want me to be unloved. He did not want me to feel pain, shame or guilt. God was there to guide me and be my protector when I can not do for myself what He can.

My experiences in life over the last 4 plus years has been very rewarding. I gave up using pills that I was addicted to for 13.5 years after being diagnosed with pleurisy and could not find a way to fix myself. Then I stumbled upon a 12 step program while working in a position that taught me more about myself than I realized. I hadn’t used these pills in a long while as I did stop using them in the past all on my own. This time I did not know if I could have the capability of doing it alone again. I quit my position and put myself in a step group. My life changed forever.

With God and his purpose for me I was able to gain courage and confidence that a new solution in Him would work. In this I had to listen to the Holy Spirit and grow and learn from God’s direction for me. I discovered who I was through my journey. I was able to find my tribe, my peace and my courage through God.

God Gives Good Gifts

During my journey I always as a child had asked God for a gift. I never ever thought I’d have one. During my time of healing God revealed a gift of speaking in tongue and learning how to decipher it as well. I prayed to God to show me this was from Him and He did. He told me to open the bible. I just randomly opened it and it talked about the gift of tongue speaking. I was blown away at this. Listening to the Holy Spirit gives me confidence in my faith.

Not My Will But His Be Done

My present goals in life today are to have peace, walk in faith, help others and be always more confident. Confident that God’s powerful protection of guidance, and love for me is real as long as I do His will not my own.

He Leads Me

This past year God gave me a bible verse to live by and the story was funny because I really had this fear of a number. I kept looking at the clock always and it would usually have the number 23 associated with it. I couldn’t stop this and then I feared it because it wouldn’t stop. Silly right?! I would not even have my volume in the car at 23! So I prayed about it. I would never know how strong God’s love for me was until his answer through the Holy Spirit said, “Child open up Psalms 23!” I said ok God. So I read it. I was like really God?!

So the next week I ended up at the hospital and this lady was reading some book and it had Psalms 23 on the front of it. I told her my story. She gave me a card with the verse on it. The next week I end up going to an essential oils class. Guess what’s in the kitchen on the wall engraved on wood?  Psalms 23!

Baby Steps – Let Go and Let God

Today, I try and remember this special verse God gave for me. I no longer fear a lot of things. I’m still a work in progress but I try to take baby steps. I specifically put the volume on 23 now while listening to Praise FM. I’ve let go and let God!

Psalms 23:1-6  – NLT

“The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever.”

Accept His Invitation?

Do you know that God desires a relationship with you? No matter what it is that you are walking in right now, He wants to help you through it. He doesn’t want you floundering alone in the struggles of life.

A relationship with Him starts with a tug in your heart and yearning to know Him better. He is offering you salvation, forgiveness, acceptance, grace, mercy, love, kindness, healing and guidance. He is the giver of miracles. No matter how many chances He has given you – He is the giver of yet another chance.

I am inviting you to pray the “prayer of salvation”. This is the most important prayer that you will ever pray. In this prayer you acknowledge that you are ready to trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. When you pray the prayer of salvation, you are letting God know that you believe His Word is true and you are inviting Him to take the lead of your life.

Romans 10:9-10 ~ “if you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Biblegateway.com

Christian Salvation Prayer

Prayer

If you are feeling the tug on your heart today, please pray the following prayer:

Dear God,

Today I come before you and admit that I am a sinner. I know that there is nothing that I can do that will save myself. Many times I have done things that I know didn’t please you. I have been selfish and lived my life in selfish ways. For this I am sorry, and I ask for Your forgiveness.

I am ready to trust You as my Lord and Savior. Thank you, Jesus, for coming to earth. I believe that You are the Son of God, that You died on the cross for my sins and that after 3 days You rose again.

You did for me what I could not do for myself. Today I come to you and ask You to take control of my life. I freely give it to you. Help me to live every day in ways that please You.

I love you, Lord, and I thank you that I will spend all eternity with you.

In Jesus’ name ~~ Amen

Additional Christian Testimony’s

I am always encouraged when I read and hear other people share their Christian Testimony. It doesn’t matter if we share the same experiences or not. The common thread in all of our testimonies is the never ending grace and love that God has for us. Are you needing some hope? Does your faith need an extra boost? My prayer is that as you read the testimonies of others, that you will be encouraged in your own life’s journey. The Bible tells us that —

The Lord helps the fallen and lifts those bent beneath their loads. The eyes of all look to you in hope; you give them their food as they need it. When you open your hand, you satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing” Psalm 145:14-16
